As part of an exciting space project, our Preschool Foxes explored the fascinating secrets of the universe. With curiosity and creativity, the little explorers experienced their own space adventures. From designing rockets to exploring the planets in our solar system, they have playfully explored the vastness of the cosmos. This unique experience has not only awakened their interest in science, but also inspired their imagination and awakened their desire to discover the infinite vastness of the universe.
Right at the beginning, the children took part in a question and answer session.together to decide what they wanted to know more about and what they were interested in. Every kindergarten day was tailored to this and there was plenty to discover.
The preschoolers became little astronauts themselves and designed their own individual astronaut T-shirts, which were used directly for the role play. In keeping with the project, the group room was transformed into a space room with the help of various decorations. A homemade rocket, space balloons, books, curtains and a star projector created the right atmosphere. The Preschool Foxes also picked up on the project during free play and acted out a visit to the moon, for example.
But that was by no means all! The preschoolers created their own
solar system and learned all about our planets. They discussed the construction of a rocket, how long it flies and where people have already been in space. There was a lot of laughter in the movement units with various space sports games. The children talked about the stars and the moon. They then baked star cookies and decorated them. They also made a moon spinner that showed the phases of the moon.
A big highlight for our Preschool Foxes that they were able to demonstrate their knowledge in a small program at the Frankenberg Christmas market and our Little Foxes Christmas Market. market. The project was concluded at a space Christmas party in the kindergarten and we are once again very excited about how the children children perceive their world.
