People Who Help Us

In February and March, the "Lumberjacks" from the "Little Foxes" in Frankenberg were all about "People Who Help Us". The children had the opportunity to examine their social environment and look at people and their professions who are particularly helpful.

On walks together, we saw "Bus Driver", "Postal Worker", "Construction Worker" and many more, which were then painted together and collected and discussed on a large sheet. The children's interest was paramount, as they had chosen the project themselves and also wished at the beginning to paint together on the topic, play theater and visit the police and fire department.

As a special highlight, the children of the "Little Foxes" were able to visit the fire department and the building yard with the kind support of the building yard and the volunteer fire department in Frankenberg. There they were able to see various vehicles and the fire station itself. The children had the opportunity to ride in a fire engine themselves. We were also visited by Ms. Schröder-Bischoff from the Mittweida police station. She introduced the children to the job of the police. We also learned how important it is for children to know their first name, surname, age and address.

The "Little Foxes" team would like to thank all cooperation partners in Frankenberg, especially the employees of the building yard (volunteer fire department) and the employees of the Mittweida police station (Frankenberg police station), who, in addition to presenting their profession, provided learning materials for everyday daycare!

Thank You!
